Proyecto
MEGA is born to give place to a museum that integrates the history and the culture of the beer Estrella Galicia in the city of A Coruña. An important part of it are the sports in which the city and the region have excelled over the years.
MEGA Sport Training was developed taking into account the museum's characteristics and the infrastructure of its musealization project, as well as the client's branding. This is why Kinect was chosen as the main input method, as it allows relatively complex behaviour with very intuitive control without the need for the user to grab anything. It also uses the museum's NFC wristband system to personalize each experience.
The game includes different sports sponsored by Estrella Galicia (basketball, football, hockey and rugby) in the form of intuitive and dynamic mini-games. After completing each, the game collects the scores and creates a trading card that includes the player's photo (taken in real time with Kinect). This trading card is sent to the user's email as a souvenir of the museum and an element that can be shared on social networks.
The inauguration of the MEGA Estrella Galicia museum took place on 19 June 2019 and is open to the public. MEGA Sport Training is part of the permanent exhibition.
Currently, MEGA Sport Training has been played by more than 100,000 people.
